BAND CAMP 2019
Dear Parents and Students,
Attached you will find our 2019 Band Camp Packet! This 9-page packet contains detailed information about our camp coming up in TWO WEEKS! As you know, all students are required to attend all sessions of camp.
Please look over the packet carefully and prepare to bring all required items/payments to one of the two mandatory band parent meetings - either July 8 at 7:00 p.m. or July 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the WHS Theater. You do not need to attend both meetings. Final fee payments, meal orders, and medical forms must be turned in at one of these two mandatory meeting. Remember, students have a full mini-camp rehearsal on July 8 from 4:00 – 8:30 PM! This is a required rehearsal for all members, and we will be having our very first full band session. Pizza dinner will be provided for all members.
Shoe fitting for hornline and percussion students will be held on Monday, July 8 during the mini-camp for students. New members (and any veterans needing replacement shoes) will be assigned times during the mini-camp to be fitted. All new members should prepare to pay the $40 shoe fee at check-out at one of the two mandatory parent meetings. If your child is a veteran member and they are needing shoe replacements, please discuss this with your student prior to July 8 and make sure to make shoe payment for your child at check-out on July 8 or 14.
Please note that picture day this year will be on Saturday, July 27. This is the Saturday following the final day of the second week of band camp. More details in the packet.
